Roselands Infant School

The entrance to this East Sussex primary school has been transformed by the addition of a WeatherSpan canopy

The staff at the school were looking for a structure that provided shelter for parents waiting at the beginning and end of the school day. The WeatherSpan modular canopy also provides a sheltered walkway free of rain and ice for teachers and children. The canopy is aligned with two double door entrances at either end – a busy thoroughfare at break times and between lessons.

Rainwater from the canopy roof drains through a gutter concealed behind the fascia to a downpipe inside one of the canopy legs and connected to the adjacent underground drainage system.

As a finishing touch, the school specified that the structure be powder coated in a RAL colour to match the school’s own house colours.
