Loaf Bakery

With five bakeries in Surrey and Hampshire, Loaf has a dedicated team of skilled bakers working night and day to provide delicious, fresh bakes to the local community six days a week.

They put a big focus on sourcing high quality ingredients from as many regional suppliers as possible to support local businesses and create products they know will be appreciated by their loyal customers.

Buying from local suppliers is also a nod to their sustainability commitments, with Loaf reducing their environmental impact by using a sophisticated till system that helps minimise the amount of food waste they produce, recyclable cutlery and straws, paper bags and limiting the amount of plastic packing used.

The Requirement

Loaf were looking to enhance the front of their Ridgeway Road store in Farnham, to provide shelter for customers enjoying a coffee and a pastry sat outside, as well as vital protection from heat gain and glare for the inside of the shop.

Regulating the internal temperature was of paramount importance to create a comfortable environment for their staff, customers and bakes, without relying solely on HVAC systems.

Furthermore, Loaf also wanted the shelter to act as a form of marketing by promoting the brand name on the frame.

Our Solution

Having worked with Loaf previously on their Four Marks bakery, we were asked to supply the shading solution on their Ridgeway Road shop.

To fit the surrounding environment, we supplied and installed the sleek, full cassette Weinor Cassita 11 Awning to the front of the bakery with a manual crank handle operation.

Measuring 4.7m x 2.5m, the awning had sufficient projection to provide shelter for customers sitting underneath and provided excellent protection from glare and heat gain.

The fabric was colour matched to the façade of the shop, with the brand logo, strapline and telephone number printed on the front.

The Weinor Cassita 11 is ideal for modern and minimalist environments, with an ultra-slim cassette measuring just 120mm high and the innovative bracket design allowing the system to be face or top fixed.

The Installation

As the photos demonstrate, the awning blends seamlessly with the shopfront both when extended and retracted, and gives the bakery an elegant finish.
